From trained carpenter to sales manager: ADA success stories

Andreas Stubics (46) made it all the way from the workbench to management level, laying the foundation for his career with an apprenticeship as a carpenter. He has been showcasing his talents at ADA since 2018 – and with success, as the latest jump in his career to DACH-wide sales manager for the bedroom area shows.

Career with apprenticeship: flying high with courage and dedication

“Sometimes you have to take the next step in order to grow.” This motto characterises Andreas Stubics’ career. From assembly carpenter to customer service manager, and finally from floor manager to division manager in the furniture company – Stubics has constantly furthered his development and knows the furniture industry from the ground up. In 2018, he took a chance and joined ADA as sales manager for the bedroom division in Austria. Since September 2023, he has been in charge of sales for the sleep division in the entire DACH region with a nine-strong field sales team – an advancement that reflects his ambition, talent and expertise.

The daily routine of sales manager at ADA: full of variety and responsibility

His decision in favour of ADA was an easy one: “The know-how of the family business and those who ran it were the decisive factors for me. I was already familiar with the structures from my many years in the furniture trade and knew that ADA was the right place for me”, explains Stubics. And he has never regretted his decision. On the contrary. The tasks in his current position are varied and exciting: from working from home and video conferencing to meetings to discuss the product range with buyers, joint on-site visits with field sales, furniture trade fairs and numerous phone calls.

Recipe for success: being professionally determined and personally balanced

And his key to success is simple: “I have never shied away from new challenges, seizing every opportunity to develop myself further.” This openness to change, his strong team spirit and his expertise and skills are what characterise Stubics. But he also knows how important it is to recharge his batteries. Stubics finds his balance in nature – be it cycling, running or cheering on his son at a football match. He enjoys this downtime at his two residences – in vibrant Vienna and in idyllic Southern Burgenland. His career is not only an example of personal success, but also of the opportunities and possibilities that await dedicated employees at ADA.
